Holly McIntosh Think this might be my favourite thing that David’s put out so far - it’s really playful, full of interesting beats and weird textures - a really good album to paint to! Favorite track: Parasol Star.

plushine This album is such a journey. Each track offers something unique, and takes you to many different places. I can really sense improvement through the years with this release as well, keep making great things, David :) Favorite track: I Have No Head.

millicow This is unlike any other music I have heard on Earth. I don't understand it at all, but its uniqueness makes it strangely captivating. There are no words to describe the vibes of this music, except the music itself. Favorite track: I Have No Head.

about

2016 onwards stuff. I fell into another world when making these tracks. I walked around with rough ideas and waited for the solutions to come to me. These are all specific places with specific people. Full of field recordings of chatter and noises. I made the album that I would have wanted me to make if I wasn't me.

about

Locust Toybox Leeds, UK

My name is David Firth, I make all sorts of things like cartoons and pictures and music. This is my main solo music project. I start up different projects all the time, but this is one I keep coming back to. It's a mixture of real instruments, samples and synth. I try and keep it as organic sounding as possible. I don't know if you can dance to Locust Toybox, but you're welcome to try. ... more
